Since seeing a clip of Ron Paul’s exchange with Rudy Giuliani, and the discussion it has sparked, I kept thinking of part of a phrase that I knew somehow came from Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: “One word of truth”. It is from a Russian proverb that he quoted at the end of his Nobel lecture: “One word of truth shall outweigh the whole world.” I am glad I finally looked up the passage because I think it is strikingly relevant.
